The Story Behind The Stitches

My Story

I learned to sew during a season of service at a small country church when I was living in Alabama. One of the ladies there was an experienced sewist, and after watching her work, I gathered the courage to ask if she might teach me. Not only did she say yes—she went above and beyond by buying me my very first sewing machine! She patiently gave me a few lessons, showing me the basics and encouraging me every step of the way. What started as a generous act of kindness and a simple willingness to learn has grown into a true passion. Today, I’m pursuing a small business built on those newly found skills, always carrying gratitude for the woman and the community that helped stitch this dream together. 🧵✨

What about YOU?

Hard work is a daily offering—showing up when it’s quiet, staying when it’s hard, trusting the process when the outcome isn’t clear. I believe creative freedom is a gift meant to be exercised, not hidden, and that ambition—when grounded in humility—can be a form of gratitude. Every opportunity I’ve been given is God-given, not accidental, and my responsibility is simply to steward it well. I try new things knowing I won’t get everything right, but I refuse to quit before the lesson arrives. Consistency has taught me more than talent ever could.

If you’re standing at the edge of something new, step forward. Work honestly. Create boldly. Stay faithful in the small, unseen moments. Do your part with excellence and courage—and trust the Lord to do the rest.
